FTC Ruling Validates SmartReply's Commitment
Recent FTC rulings now in force affects all U.S. voice marketers. According to the FTC, all pre-recorded voice marketing calls:
- Require an automated opt-out feature, giving consumers a choice to opt-out of marketing calls, and future alerts and messages, effective Dec. 1, 2008.
- Require additional consent measures such as E-Sign, digital or written sent from the consumer to opt-in to receive voice marketing calls, effective Sept. 1, 2009.
While these rulings mean compliance nightmares for some, they’re not new information for SmartReply.
